Creative Translation has always had green leanings. We recycle our toner cartridges, paper and card, we eBay old equipment and generally exhaust all options before throwing anything in the bin. But there comes a point where you can do no more to reduce your impact; we need to use electricity, paper, printers, and we definitely need our [Fairtrade] coffee.

To offset the carbon we produce from electricity and heating, we have planted 20 trees in a dedicated spot in Cornwall. See them here... Part of our on-going commitment is to add 10 trees every year. Carbon reduction is not just about planting trees: reducing our carbon emissions in the first place has the most sustainable and dramatic effects. Creative Translation contributes to a number of other UK-based carbon reduction projects. We can also help you reduce your carbon too!

We will plant a tree for you!

By choosing a carbon neutral supplier you are already reducing your carbon footprint. That's a good start, but we thought we would go one step further: for every job you give us in 2009 we will plant a tree for you!

Yes, that's every job! No matter how many you give us in a year.
(If the jobs are small minimum charge jobs, it's one tree every two jobs)

A single tree can offset 1 tonne of CO2 in its full life cycle, so get your carbon calculator out, and see what a difference using us could make.

If you keep using us in 2009, whether you are offsetting your company's carbon or your own, you could significantly reduce your carbon footprint.

Grow your own

This is a genuine UK-based carbon offset scheme run by Creative Translation in partnership with eForests. Each tree comes with its own [paper free] e-certificate in your name and has a web link to a picture of your tree and a map to locate it.

There are a number of sites spread across the UK and you can actually choose where you would like your tree planted! Keep coming back to us in 2009 and you could build up your very own small forest over the year!
